Radio Salten er lokalradio for kommunene Saltdal, Fauske og Sørfold. Radioen ble etablert 11.09.1984 på Rognan i Saltdal under navnet Radio Saltdal AL – og da kun med konsesjon for Saltdal kommune. Første sending kom på lufta 06.04.1985. Senere ble konsesjonsområdet utvidet, og det kom en navneendring, først til Radio Indre Salten BA, og senere til Radio Salten AS .
